1881 Census - potman at Swan In, Charlton.
In 1881 Census Robert Samuel was unmarried, a potman,
living at "The Swan" in Charlton, working for the Turrell
family. Ref. 741.31.14.

Robert Samuel Hogg was listed in 1900 Directory at 73
Griffin Road, Plumstead (Directories were usually prepared
the year before publishing).
In 1901 Census Robert Samuel was Marrried, age 42, and a
patient in an institution, described as General labourer.
This was probably a hospital in Woolwich. Note that he died
7 months later.
Admons. details:- "Robert Samuel Hogg, of 63 Daubeney Road,
Clapton, Mx. died on 22 October 1901 at King's College
Hospital in the said County." granted to Emily Hogg of 157
High Street, Homerton, Mx. the lawful widow and relict
.Dated 7 July
1917. Gross value £224 10s. 0d. ( I think Emily was
probably staying at Homerton with her sister-in-law Emma
Elizabeth at the Forester's Arms.) Plumstead.
